EMMA B GARDENS

Maybe it was something to do with Frances Hodgson Burnett or perhaps growing up in beautiful English countryside that first inspired Emma Barttelot’s passion for gardens. After completing her landscape design training at the English Gardening School she set up her practice in 2006. Since then projects have ranged from small London gardens where each inch of space is critical to larger country gardens where imagination has roamed free.
In June 2008, Emma exhibited her first show garden at BBC Gardeners’ World Live and was awarded a Silver Gilt medal by the Royal Horticultural Society. This followed her design contributions to the 2008 Daylesford Organic Chelsea Flower Show garden (RHS Silver Gilt) and Bronze medal success at the RHS Malvern Spring Show in 2006.
“I want to enter another world; somewhere I can get lost and stumble across romantic hideaways, read my book and watch butterflies dancing on brightly coloured perennials. I want to invigorate the senses, be hit by gentle aromas and contrasting textures. I want to see something of interest everyday of the year.”
